(We get critiques about how active board members look on Twitter. Lots of ways to use the service effectively. Some folks use it only to see what’s happening!? On us to make it valuable to join the conversation. But we also benefit from folks new to Twitter: fresh perspectives.)

witter has three women on a board of 10 (Okonjo-Iweala is replacing Marjorie Scardino, the former chief executive of Pearson). Her appointment also means there are now two black women directors, the other being Debra Lee, recently the chief executive of BET Networks according to Quarz.
