Nigeria fintech startup, CowryWise, has been accepted into YCombinator Summer 2018 Batch.
Commenting on the news, Razaq Ahmed, the CEO of CowryWise said: “This acceptance into YC is a validation of our commitment to our customers while we focus on our goal of bringing wealth management services to young Africans irrespective of their income level.”
CowryWise is a FinTech startup that helps Nigerians save and invest easily irrespective of their income level. Till date, the startup has processed over $1.5M in savings for its customers.
Recently, CowryWise along with BitKoin Africa received an undisclosed amount of funding from Nigerian early-stage fund Microtraction.
Y Combinator is an American seed accelerator, started in March 2005. It has a number of highly successful companies and is consistently ranked at the top of U.S. accelerators according to Wikipedia.
