The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (Awief) is looking for 25 innovative early-stage South African women entrepreneurs to take part in its Growth Accelerator Programme.
Applications for the Nedbank sponsored programme, which will cater to a variety of sectors, will close at the end of this month (31 August). Training starts on 17 September and will be held in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The free six-week long programme is designed to support participants with the business modelling and growth strategy required to scale their enterprises, become investment ready and develop entrepreneurial leadership.
In order to be considered for the programme, applicants must currently run a venture that has been in operation for no less than two years and is generating a revenue. In addition, to qualify participants must be seeking investment.
Topics to be covered during the programme include financing for scale, value proposition and pitch training. At the end of the programme, the three best ventures will win monetary prizes from Awief as well as financial management advice from Nedbank.
The Growth Accelerator Programme will culminate in the 2018 Awief 2018 Awief Conference, Exhibition and Awards event which will take place on 8 and 9 November at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
At the event, the 25 selected entrepreneurs will pitch their business to an audience of investors, business leaders and corporate decision-makers.
