Nigerian fintech startup Accounteer is to open an office in Nairobi, Kenya in March 2019 which will be its second office in Africa.
Founded in 2015 by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Merijn Campsteyn, Accounteer allows users to can create invoices, track expenses and register payments, among other things.
Accounteer now has over 10,000 active users in 75 different countries across the world. Its biggest markets are Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
This year alone, Accounteer won US$50,000 at the MEST Africa Challenge, was accepted onto the Itanna accelerator in Lagos and it raised undisclosed funding from early-stage investment platform Microtraction and Ventures Platform. It was also named as a finalist of the Demo Africa Challenge.
