Lagos is set to host the launch of Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative, a prize competition for African entrepreneurs, founded by the Jack Ma Foundation. The launch will be organized by Network of Incubators and Innovators in Nigeria (NINE) which was recently announced as one of the Prize’s partner.
Bankole Oloruntoba, founder, NINE, made this known in a statement released in Abuja.
“For the next ten years, the ANPI will search for impactful emerging businesses and entrepreneurs across Africa culminating in a finale where ten finalists will have a shot at US$1 million in total prize money,” he said.
” The Prize aims to support and inspire the next generation of African entrepreneurs across all sectors, who are building a more sustainable and inclusive economy for the future.”
The Official prize launch event is slated for the 27th of March 2019 at the Zone Tech Park, Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria and will run simultaneously in three other African nations, Kenya, South Africa and Egypt symbolizing the launch of the African focused competition.
