Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) as part of efforts to support enterprise development and technological advancement in Nigeria plans to launch its Innovation and Experience centre later in the year.
Making this announcement at the first Accounting Technology Summit hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) was the Senior Regional Partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Mr Uyi Akpata,
According to Akpata, said that the centre will serve as a hub to encourage entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas that can deepen financial services and also provide other critical services, that can transform the economy.
It will also serve as a platform for encouraging growth and development of a digital economy in Nigeria.
The experience centre will be of value to those in the accounting profession seeking to adapt to emerging technologies that will shape the practice.
Akpata believed with the fourth industrial revolution driven by digital technology, professions like Accounting must either adapt or face extinction.
When the PwC Nigeria Innovation and Experience Centre is eventually established, it will join a growing list of companies setting up these centres to support entrepreneurs and startups.
