Gokada, a leading on-demand motorcycle ride-hailing startup which temporarily shut down operations two weeks ago has relaunched its operations in Lagos.
The ride-hailing startup said it was relaunching with brand new motorcycles and better-equipped pilots “who have been thoroughly trained in safe driving standards, GPS navigation, and customer service.”

Recalled that the startup temporarily suspended operations on August 14, 2019, to allow it to boost its services in the areas of safety standards and riders competence.
According to Gokada, all the trained pilots graduated on Monday, August 26, 2019, while the service resumed with pilots on the road on August 27, 2019.
The founder and Co-CEO of Gokada, Fahim Saleh, said the brand, during the pause, upskilled existing and newly engaged GPilots in advanced knowledge of defensive driving behaviours for enhanced safety, GPS navigation and optimised customer service delivery.
Gokada 2.0 initiative also brings you helmets with bluetooth that are waterproof, supports high speed, and has wind noise cancellations. It allows our drivers receive calls on the go with the mic installed in it.

Gokada also overhauled its entire motorbike fleet and acquired first-of-its-kind, super-efficient TVS motorbikes and fitted their pilots with Bluetooth-enabled helmets allowing for more seamless communication and navigation experience.
