Bolt, formerly known as Taxify, has appointed Femi Akin-Laguda as the new country manager for Nigeria to drive the company’s operations and expansion moves across Nigeria.
Akin-Laguda has served in various capacities at Bolt over the last three years most recently as City Manager for Lagos where he engineered the introduction of an identity verification portal.
Meanwhile, Uche Okafor who was formerly in charge of the Nigerian operations has become the ride-hailing services’ Regional Manager for West Africa

Before joining Bolt, Akin-Lagudahas worked in Insurance Brokering, Utilities, Engineering, National Security & Technology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Ghana.
