Virtual Top Up (VTU) is one of the easiest businesses to start because you need a small capital to commence.
Virtual Top Up in its simplest term is selling prepaid cards digitally to potential customers.
The Virtual Top Up business has gained a lot of ground over the years as Nigerians slowly move away from buying paper prepaid cards.
Despite this, the paper prepaid business is still viable as there a good number of Nigerians who still prefer the paper card than the VTU.
What you need
1.) VTU SIM Card for all the networks (Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile, and MTN-for MTN, you can dial *456#).
2.) Any phone you can use to dial and reply to USSD.
3.) Small capital 5,000, 1,0000, 15,000 etc
4.) A small kiosk or shop
5.) A banner advertising your VTU business
6.) As your business grows, you need to have a website and you register your business.
Starting your VTU business?
1.) Recharge all your VTU lines with enough credit so that you don’t run out. You must register with a VTU agent in order to buy prepaid cards at cheaper rates to resell.
2.) Depending on the amount you have, you can buy between 3,000 and 100,000
3.) Then brand your store in order to attract customers
4.) When your recharge card business eventually picks, you can expand to other VTU businesses like electricity, WAEC PIN, NECO Result Token, and DSTV/GOTV/StarTimes Subscription.
