Kendall Ananyi, the founder and CEO of Tizeti has ‘voluntarily stepped down’ as CEO of Tizeti after he was reportedly accused of sexual harassment by Kelechi Udoagwu.
He wasn’t a staff of MEST. He visited as a Guest Speaker. Our friendship had been purely platonic and professional till that afternoon.
I could barely assimilate and react that this was really happening cos I had put the guy on a pedestal and know about his wife.

Ananyi had over the weekend released a statement denying all sexual assault allegations made against Udoagwu.
He Said: “Last week, Kelechi Udoagwu (@anti_ratrace) posted a serious allegation against me on Twitter. Due to the sensitive nature of this allegation, I have used the past few days to consult extensively with my family, colleagues, and business partners at Tizeti on how best to address these allegations.
“At this point, I would like to start correcting the facts and state that I never had a MEST mentor-mentee relationship with Kelechi. MEST can easily verify this from their records, however, Kelechi and I did meet at a MEST event in Accra during which I addressed MEST cohorts. Kelechi and I never had any mentorship session and I never sexually harassed or raped her.
“As confirmed by Kelechi in her Tweets, she has confirmed that she was “not a victim in any way” and “that nothing happened” hence the need to treat this situation with necessary discretion to uncover the truth behind these allegations.
“I thank everyone that has reached out to me in the past few days and promise to keep you informed as this situation develops and I work to clear myself of these allegations.”

Despite his denial, Tizeti released a statement saying that ”Tizeti Inc Founder and CEO Kendall Ananyi has voluntarily stepped down as CEO effectively immediately, during the period, the company will conduct an independent investigation into a sexual harassment allegation.”
The statement disclosed that Patricia Aiyedun current Tizeti CFO and Ifeanyi Okonkwo, current Tizeti COO will assume the position of interim co-CEOs effective immediately.”
However, before this statement, a now-deleted one was released and it clearly states that: “The Tizeti Network Board has asked Kendall Ananyi to step down from his role as CEO, effective immediately while an independent investigation into the sexual harassment allegation is conducted. Kendal Ananyi has agreed to remain fully compliant until the independent investigation concludes.
As a result of these two conflicting statements, this raises doubts about whether Kendall Ananyi voluntarily resigned.
Tizeti provides broadband internet services to densely populated urban centers in Africa. The internet service provider was founded in 2010 by Ifeanyi Okonkwo and Kendall Ananyi.
