Dan Foster, the legendary On-Air Personality, has reportedly died from coronavirus complications.
Popularly known as The Big Dawg, Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster was credited with changing the face of radio as an OAP at Cool Fm, one of the popular radio stations in Lagos. He was also a DJ, and radio producer.
His jovial, playful, and smooth presentation style endeared him to the listener across Lagos, Nigeria, and beyond.
Despite being American born, The Big Dawg who arrived in the country in 2000 was a proper Nigerian as he did not shy away from Nigerian food, attires, and even the languages. He was always attempting to speak one of the popular Nigerian languages on air. He even married a Nigerian!
Dan Foster was radio himself. He started with Cool Fm where he made listening to the radio more exciting, engaging, and entertaining. There was never a dull moment listening to him.
He also worked with Inspiration Fm and City FM. Until his death, he was with Classic FM.
According to Wikipedia, Foster has a son, Joshua, from his previous marriage. He leaves behind his wif, Lovina and two children-daughter Daniella and son Somtochukwu.

I've been short of words since I heard of the death of Dan Foster.
His time at Cool FM was revolutionary. I enjoyed his time at Inspiration FM, especially his handling of Sharing Life Issues when Chaz B was away.
