PropertyPro, a Nigerian online real estate platform, has announced that it has opened offices in Kenya and Zimbabwe. According to Techzim, the property tech company is also eyeing Uganda and 5 other African markets.

On why they chose Zimbabwe, Property Pro reps told the Zimbabwean publication that: “Our goal at PropertyPro is to establish a solid presence and operate at maximum level in every viable market in Africa. 

“Despite the internet penetration into Real Estate in Zimbabwe, we found a room for growth, for property developers, Agents to sell, connect to users hunting for properties easily.”

On what makes PropertyPro different from competitors like Property and PropertyBook, the reps said: “Our platform is our core product and that is the gospel. 2020 might have opened a lot of hearts to use the internet more but we have been doing this long enough especially in the real estate market to provide the best tool for Searching and Marketing of properties.

“We are going to cater the needs of Property Developers, Agents to manage their daily business efficiently, with proper listing catalogues while still giving them the chance to provide superb customer experience.”

PropertyPro Journey

The propertytech company started out as Estate Node and metamorphosed to tolet.com.ng in 2013. It was founded by by Dapo Eludire, Fikayo Ogundipe, Muyiwa Kolawo, Seyi Ayeni and Sulaiman Balogun.

Again, in 2018, it rebranded to PropertyPro from Tolet.com.ng. The previous year, it acquired Jumia House increasing the number of property listings on the platform to 600 000.

It raised US$1.2 million into its coffers in a Series A funding found from Frontier Digital Ventures in 2016.
