Unhacked is a pitch competition where African-focused technology startups pitch their companies for a chance to emerge as winners.
Vazi Legal works with some of the most innovative companies in the African eco-system and this competition is one way for us to pay it forward.
Rules of Participation
1. The startup should be focused on providing solutions in Africa
2. One member of the founding team should be a woman with at least 10% ownership in the startup.
3. The startup should be focused on one of the following areas:
a. Blockchain/Cryptocurrency
b. Healthcare/Wellness
c. Supply chain/Logistics
d. Social & Mobile/Commerce
e. Education Technology/Education Finance
4. You should have a product that is at least demo ready if not launched yet.
Process
The judges for the Unhacked pitch competition for African tech startups will score the startups and we will also give the audience a chance to vote as well.
The votes are then collated and three winners will emerge. The judges will be made up of investors and experienced entrepreneurs. It will also include technology, product, and marketing experts.
Finalists will be selected from the pool of applications and those finalists will pitch over a live stream to our judges and the public.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, this inaugural pitch competition will be fully virtual.
