Mastercard has announced a partnership with Carticard, egabi FSI’s strategic partner, to offer Carticard customers improved digital payment solutions while incorporating more people into the digital economy.

The company also offers a microloans platform to microfinance institutions in the Middle East and Africa region and is currently serving 2 million consumers.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the measures put in place by the Egyptian government to curb the spread of the virus have already led to an 80% increase in e-commerce transactions in the local market, bringing the country one step closer to a fully integrated digital economy.
