Talabat, one of the leading food and grocery delivery apps in Egypt and the Middle East, has been announced as the official partner of the upcoming Cairo Bites Food Festival.
Now in its eighth year, Cairo Bites brings together a collection of local, regional, and international eating establishments as well as food-related businesses where visitors can try out various cuisines.
Taking place this September at the Family Park in New Cairo, the festival aims to help restaurant owners to gain new customers through free samples that they can try out.
It’s also an opportunity for Egyptians to explore endless options of dining in a fun and festive environment. From its early days in April 2014 in Baron Palaces in Heliopolis, the Cairo Bites Food Festival is now the largest food festival held in Egypt.
“Talabat is committed to supporting the food sector through big events like the Cairo Bites Food Festival. Our sponsorship also comes within the framework of the company’s strategy, enabling restaurants to extend their reach of new customers,” said Hadeer Shalaby, Managing Director of Talabat Egypt.
“We at Talabat are committed to supporting small and medium-sized restaurants, which represent about 90% of the vendors on our platform,” she added.
Up to 60 restaurant spots in the festival will be offered by Talabat, in which restaurants will offer mouth-watering menu items to visitors. talabat will also be supporting its restaurants with all forms of logistical needs to ensure a seamless festival experience that highlights their brand.
Talabat is additionally set to be distributing special vouchers and discount coupons to visitors of the Cairo Bites Food Festival in cooperation with participating restaurants.
As part of the sponsorship, the Cairo Bites main stage will be officially named the “Talabat Stage” that will include exclusive areas for VIP visitors, along with an engaging Kid’s Area filled with games, competitions, and entertainment activities that will cater to the younger crowd.
Throughout the two-day festival, there will be cooking competitions with celebrity chefs where visitors stand a chance to win valuable prizes. The fun does not stop there, as the festival will also host different musical acts including the famous Egyptian band Black Theama.
Over the past years, Cairo Bites Food Festival has seen an estimated 40,000 visitors with more than 55 participating culinary professionals and 100 food brands. This year, the festival will showcase a culinary experience headlined by some of the region’s best chefs that include CBC Sofra stars Chef El-Sherbini, Amira Shanab, and Najla El-Shershaby.
The Cairo Bites Food Festival in cooperation with Talabat Egypt will take place between the 3rd and 4th of September 2021 at the Family Park near Rehab City in New Cairo.
