DiDi Chuxing, a Chinese Ride-Hailing firm, has launched operations in Egypt starting with the city of Alexandria. Egypt becomes the second country in Africa after South Africa the ride-hailing firm has unveiled its services.

To Celebrate the launch, all drivers signing up through express registration in Alexandria will enjoy a 0% service charge for 28 days, as well as a participation bonus of 150 EGP ($9.53)after completing the first 10 trips.

Commenting on the start of the company’s operations Egypt, the General Manager of DiDi in Africa, Lin Ma, said “Egypt is an important and large market for DiDi, and we are very much looking forward to officially launching our services soon in Alexandria and we always emphasise that our success stems from our commitment.”

“To our partner captains and service users, and through the trust that develops with them through their daily experiences, and to provide both of them with an element of safety throughout the journey, which is why we have invested in a world-class safety system for both the captain and the passenger alike,” she added.

DiDi connects drivers with users to reach their destination through comfortable journeys and a seamless transportation experience.
