Gozem, a francophone Africa super app, secured $30 million in Series B funding to enhance its vehicle financing and digital banking services.
The funding round, which includes $15 million in equity and $15 million in debt, was led by SAS Shipping Agencies Services, a subsidiary of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, alongside Al Mada Ventures.
Founded in 2018 in Togo, Gozem has transformed from a motorcycle taxi service into a comprehensive super app operating in Togo, Benin, Gabon, and Cameroon. The platform offers diverse services, including ride-hailing, food and grocery deliveries, digital ticketing, vehicle financing, and digital banking.
With the new funding, Gozem plans to enhance its transportation services by financing the acquisition of new vehicles for drivers and to expand its market presence by entering new regions within West and Central Africa.
This significant investment highlights the growing confidence in Gozem’s business model and its potential to drive innovation and financial inclusion across the African continent.
